Dr. Tracy A. Barlup
Dr. Tracy A. Barlup purchased the practice in February 2000. She is a native of Waynesboro, PA. Dr. Barlup received her Bachelor's degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1989 and her Veterinary Medical Doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania in 1996. Prior to coming to Hagerstown, Dr. Barlup worked at Rockhill Veterinary Associates in Sellersville, PA and VetSmart Pet Hospitals and Health Centers in Bel Air, MD and Baltimore, MD.
The Barlup household remains a busy place with three humans, three dogs, one cat and twenty alpacas!
Dr. Ronda Neibich
Dr. Ronda Neibich, is a native of Fairfield, PA. She received her Bachelor’s degree in 2009 from Pennsylvania State University and her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2014 from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. Prior to joining the Longmeadow Animal Hospital team, she was a mixed animal mobile veterinarian. She has one feisty cat, and two dogs. She enjoys hiking and spending time with her growing family.
Dr. Rebecca Gurshman
Rebecca Gurshman is a native of New Jersey. She received her B.S. from Cornell University in 1989 and her DVM from Cornell University in 1993. She practiced veterinary medicine in Prince George’s County and Calvert County Maryland for 24 years. Dr. Gurshman joined LAH in 2017 when her family moved to Hagerstown. She and her dogs enjoy long walks on the C & O canal and exploring local hiking trails.
Dr. Sebastian Gordon
Dr. Gordon graduated from the University of Vermont with a BS in Animal Science in 2001. Following a three-year small animal surgery residency at the Ontario Veterinary College at the University of Guelph in Canada, he achieved Diplomate Status as a board-certified surgeon in 2010. After four years in a small animal surgery practice outside Washington, DC, he and his family moved to Tasmania where he joined a small animal hospital and was the only specialist (surgical or otherwise) on the entire island. Missing the oppressive mugginess of DC summers, the Gordons returned to their Bethesda home in 2016 and he joined Lazar Veterinary Surgery.When not in surgery, Dr. Gordon tries to survive raising three sons. In rare moments of peace, he enjoys finding the perfect recipe, talking about outdoor activities, and subjecting innocent bystanders to his banjo playing.
Tiffany Bricker, CVT
Certified Veterinary Technician & Animal Care Supervisor
Tiffany is a graduate of Wilson College with a degree in Veterinary Technology. She has been certified since 2008. Tiffany has been performing ultrasounds since 2017 and is very interested in this line of veterinary services. She is married (Brock) and has 1 dog (‘Azure’) and 6 cats (‘Applebutter’, ‘T2’, ‘Smudgey’, ‘Sir Franklin’, ‘Boots’, and ‘Skinny Minnie’) and many horses and minis (‘Doxyology’, ‘Gracie Mae’, ‘Peaches’, ‘Misty’, ‘Rosie’, and ‘Dazzle’). She has been with Longmeadow Animal Hospital since 2011. This is her second career – previously she was a tax accountant and graduated from Penn State with a degree in Accounting.
Tina has been a part of the LAH family since 2006. Tina has had a passion for animals her whole life and loves being able to spend her days taking care of them. In addition to caring for animals, her other passions include outdoor adventure and photography. She shares her home with her husband and their 3 cats.
Crystal has worked at Longmeadow Animal Hospital since November 2014. She has 4 children, as well as 3 fur babies – ‘Garona’ (Pit Bull), ‘Sweetie’ (Toy Poodle), and ‘Dinky’ (Orange Tabby). Aside from spending time with her children and family, Crystal enjoys crocheting and sewing.
Annabel joined the staff at Longmeadow in March of 2016. She has held many different positions in animal hospitals and shelters over the past 15 years. She is currently completing an online degree program to obtain her Technician Certification. She has 2 dogs and 1 cat that monopolize her time.
Veterinary Assistant & Receptionist
Brittani joined the LAH team in 2016. She loves working with animals. She has previous veterinary technician experience from the Annapolis area. She moved to the Hagerstown area from a crazy, metropolitan area in order to come back to a rural adventurous, scenic, and beautiful area. She enjoys a relaxing evening all cuddled up with her Great Dane “Zeus”, a good book and spending time with friends and family. She also enjoys the outdoors when she can, watching movies and TV, shopping, and helping others. Her love for animals has been a part of her ever since she was a little girl when she was the one finding and bringing animals home all the time. She loves her job and state ‘is my pleasure to treat every client as though they were family and every pet as if they were my own’.
Veterinary Assistant & Kennel Assistant
Liz has been employed with Longmeadow Animal Hospital since July 2016. She enjoys reading books, spending time outdoors and taking her dog, ‘Josie’, hiking. Along with this job, she is a full time student at HCC studying registered nursing. She has served in the US Army for 4 years but has left the service to pursue her career in the health field.
Matt is a native of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania but is a transplant of Hagerstown. He has spent the last four years in the animal care industry, first with the Humane Society of Washington County and lately of CARE Animal Hospital in Frederick, Maryland. Matt resides in the north end of Hagerstown with his wife, Lauren, and two pugs, Winston and Panini. He enjoys lots of coffee, music and working out.
Beth has lived in Hagerstown all her life. She has worked in the veterinary field for over 20 years. She shares her home with a beagle – ‘Digger Dawg’, a mini horse named ‘Jelly Bean’ (aka Ms. Triple Crown) and Steve (a human) with whom she enjoys taking vacations with to Chincoteague.
Abby joined Longmeadow Animal Hospital in 2015 and is from Fairfield, PA. She is attending California University of PA to finish her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and will be graduating in the spring of 2018. Abby lives at home with her Shih-Poo ‘Maddie’ and family when she is home from college. In her free time she enjoys going to the beach, fishing, swimming and spending time with friends and family.
Jonathan re-joined the LAH team after a brief time away to finish school. He currently works full time in human medicine as a laboratory technician. He came back part time because he missed the people and pets. Jonathan lives in Hagerstown with his husband and their 2 dogs and 2 cats. Jonathan enjoys watching movies and TV, reading comic books and other nerdy stuff.
Receptionist & Veterinary Assistant
Missy joined our team in August 2015 from Jacksonville, Florida where she worked at a clinic for 6 years. Missy’s husband is a Seabee in the United States Navy, so she has been stationed in various locations. She is originally from Herndon, PA so they are excited to be a bit closer to home. Missy has 2 kids – ‘Kyle’ and ‘Kaelyn’, 5 dogs: 2 Yorkies, ‘Piper’ and ‘Leah’, 2 pampered Pomeranians: ‘Pebbles’ and ‘Raina’, a long haired Chihuahua named ‘Jelly’, and 2 mini Rex house rabbits, ‘Binky’ and ‘Lilac’. They all keep her very busy when she isn’t working. In her limited spare time, she enjoys reading, watching TV, and spending time with her family.
Ariana joined LAH in June of 2017. She earned her Bachelors in Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences from The Pennsylvania State University in May of 2017. During her undergraduate work, Ariana had an internship with Franklin Veterinary Associates in Greencastle, PA. She currently lives in Mont Alto, PA with her two cats, Belle and Scooter, and her family. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, cooking, cross-stitching, cuddling her cats, and spending time with loved ones.
Dawn has been working as a kennel assistant at Longmeadow Animal Hospital since August of 2010. She also worked as a kennel attendant for the Humane Society of Washington County from 1989 to 1995. Dawn completed the Veterinary Assistant program at Hagerstown Community College in December 2010. She spends her free time with her Chocolate Lab named ‘Boomer’ and her cat named ‘Brogen’.
Kennel Assistant & Veterinary Assistant
Olivia joined the Longmeadow Animal Hospital team in January of 2015. She has her associate’s degree in biology sciences and is attending The University of Massachusetts Amherst pursuing her bachelor’s degree in pre-veterinary medicine. She has always had a love for animals and hopes her experience at LAH will provide her with the knowledge and skills she will need in the near future.
Veterinary Assistant & Kennel Assistant
Kristin joined Longmeadow Animal Hospital at the beginning of August 2016. She came to us from Bark Central Doggy Resort. She is happily married and is currently studying at Wilson College to become a Veterinary Technician. In her spare time she likes to read, cook, go hiking, and spend time with her 3 pets, an Alaskan Malamute named ‘Nuka’, a domestic shorthair named ‘Athrin’, and a Manx named ‘Gwinny’.
Rheba has been working at Longmeadow Animal Hospital since November 2016. She completed the Veterinary Assistant Program at Hagerstown Community College in October 2016. Rheba enjoys spending her free time with her children and her two cats ‘Munchkin’ and ‘Cisco’.
Sherrie is excited to be serving you and your pets here at Longmeadow Animal Hospital since May of 2017. Growing up on her family’s dairy in Chambersburg, PA, she has loved animals all of her life, from cows to cats to coons. In the winter, she works as a tax preparer at a small firm in Chambersburg with the ‘hel’ of a white cat named ‘Phronsie’. She is blessed to have a lot of family and friends and she also enjoys world travel, choral music, bird watching and reading.
Ashley is a 2018 Graduate from Smithsburg High School. She is continuing her education at James Rumsey for Veterinarian Assistant. Ashley and her family love animals and currently own 3 pitbulls (Luna, Brody and Zoey), 3 cockatoos (Lily, Sophia and BoBo), 2 sugar gliders (Lilo and Stitch) and a horse (Jasmine). Ashley's hobbies include kayaking, hiking and showing her horse at local horse clubs. Ashley is excited to learn more about the Veterinarian field and furthering her education.
Hailee is currently attending Hagerstown Community College but plans on transferring to Wilson College in the fall of 2019 to start their Veterinary Medical Technology program. She realized that helping animals was what she wanted to do after rescuing her dog Clover (pictured) as a puppy. She is excited to be a part of LAH with hopes that her experiences here will help prepare her for her future in the field of veterinary medicine.
